New Features

  • Platform components now ship with OpenSSL v3.5.5.
  • Tanium Platform components now ship wit libexpat v2.7.4.
  • Eliminates the Powershell v2.0 from the Tanium Client which has been removed from Windows by Microsoft.

Improvements

  • Improves the CDN download performance of the Tanium Client.
  • Changes the behavior of the pki_root_key_rotation_interval_days setting where assigning a value of zero is no longer allowed.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixes an issue in the thread-safe handling of errno in Solaris functions.
  • Fixes a sporadic crash seen on the Tanium Client while shutting down and associated with: DownloadCache::StoreChunk.
  • Fixes an issue in PKI management that kept in-memory references to old and revoked certificates.
  • Fixes the handling and management of Tanium Client API download requests which could result in the repeated and unnecessary logging of "Ignoring expired provided URL mapping" for downloads which had failed in the past.
  • Fixes a condition in the Tanium Client where their CDN download activity would stall when configured under highly restrictive bandwidth throttles, forcing them to incur in long download request delays.
