Improvements
- Tanium Platform components now ship with OpenSSL v3.5.4.
- Tanium Platform components now ship with SQLite v3.50.2.
- The Tanium Client will now limit the number of active file downloads active to
MaxFileDownloadHandles=100. This is done to avoid a condition observed on macOS where a very large number of solution downloads could reach the limit of allowed file handles for a process, and result in the error: "EMFILE: Too many open files".
Bug Fixes
- Fixes a condition in the Tanium Client where its CDN and legacy downloads could stall for long periods of time when its CDN download requests are answered with "
Not Avaliable" replies from the Tanium Servers. - Fixes the buffering of CX socket communications which could hang when data was sent before the TLS setup of the connection was completed, effectively losing those first byte sent.
- Fixes the signature type of the Tanium Client installer RPM for CentOS v5 which would otherwise result in the error "
Header V4 RSA/SHA256 signature: BAD, key ID" when trying to install it. - Fixes the interpretation of Windows versioning strings so builds that are equal or greater than
22000are reported as Windows 11 and not Windows 10.
