Improvements

  • Tanium Platform components now ship with OpenSSL v3.5.4.
  • Tanium Platform components now ship with SQLite v3.50.2.
  • The Tanium Client will now limit the number of active file downloads active to MaxFileDownloadHandles=100. This is done to avoid a condition observed on macOS where a very large number of solution downloads could reach the limit of allowed file handles for a process, and result in the error: "EMFILE: Too many open files".

Bug Fixes

  • Fixes a condition in the Tanium Client where its CDN and legacy downloads could stall for long periods of time when its CDN download requests are answered with "Not Avaliable" replies from the Tanium Servers.
  • Fixes the buffering of CX socket communications which could hang when data was sent before the TLS setup of the connection was completed, effectively losing those first byte sent.
  • Fixes the signature type of the Tanium Client installer RPM for CentOS v5 which would otherwise result in the error "Header V4 RSA/SHA256 signature: BAD, key ID" when trying to install it.
  • Fixes the interpretation of Windows versioning strings so builds that are equal or greater than 22000 are reported as Windows 11 and not Windows 10.
