Tanium Connect Version 4.1.1.0035
Release Date: 05/04/17
Resolved Issues
- Invalid Message for Non-Malicious Hash. The message that is presented depends on the Reputation Service Settings for “Keep Malicious Reports” vs “Keep All Reports”. Depending on the existing configuration, the text was clarified, options were restricted, or more specific choices were provided.
- VirusTotal is no longer an available destination. If you are currently using VirusTotal as a destination, your connection is still available. We recommend that you move any existing VirusTotal destinations to the reputation service at which time it will no longer be available in your console (after console refresh).
- The VirusTotal source is still available. The source includes the enhanced reporting information from previous releases. However, the enhanced reporting is not available if you set the Reputation Service Settings to keep malicious reports only. If you choose Malicious reports only, a message warning about this issue is displayed.
- Sending VirusTotal / Reputation reports to HTML (such as for Email) was printing the report details annotated as “[Object object]“. This problem was fixed and now returns the expected results.
- Handling of special response codes from VirusTotal. Sometimes VirusTotal might send back a response indicating that you are using too many requests for your API Key. Previously, Connect was not handling that response, and the service could stop sending queries. This has been fixed and errors from VirusTotal will be written to log.
- VirusTotal and WildFire were still being called when the service was disabled. The services are no longer called when they are disabled.
- Minor UI fixes with the percentages and last run details.
- Fixed Reputation Max Database Size calculation.
