Highlights and Resolved Issues
- Advanced scheduling of connections, including a schedule view of all connections.
- Connection statistics (rows, bytes, status) visible on various pages.
- Performance improvements to New Items Filter.
- CEF and LEEF format support.
- New REST API.
- Learning Mode now allows selective field indexing.
- Client Deploy is no longer supported through Connect. Use Tanium Discover for Client Deploy.
- Timestamp column was removed from the file output. The timestamp is now appended to the file name.
Additional Information
- Dropped support for Oracle DB destination and ServiceNow FUJI.
- Migration from Connect v3 to v4 is not automatic. Access the migration through the workbench top rail.
- Migration generates a report of connections that require attention, with remediation steps. The items that might require remediation steps include:
- Schedule could not be converted to Cron.
- One destination per connection.
- RegEx filter now works against a specific column.
- The old data from the new items filter cannot be migrated, learning period starts over.
- WriteToFile path restrictions.
- The Unique values from columns filter was removed, but the same function exists in the New Items filter.
Known Issues and Workarounds
- Authentication success and failure tracking is available with Tanium Server 6.6 or later at this time.
- There is no NLTM proxy support to outbound connections at this time.
- After migration, a restart of the Tanium Connect Service is required
- Use '0/#' instead of '*/#' in the schedule if you receive an error referencing NaN
