Deprecation Notice

  • Tanium Trends has been deprecated and replaced by Tanium™ Reporting. Users can no longer create, import, or edit sources and boards. However, you can still publish, export, delete boards, and enable or disable sources. All new content must be created in Tanium Reporting. Any Trends boards that are still in use must be migrated to Reporting. A migration wizard is available in Trends to assist with migration. For more information, see Trends User Guide.

Resolved Issues

  • Fixed an issue with the migration wizard where sources with sensors containing empty parameters, such as the Patch – Patch List Compliance sensor, could not be migrated.
  • Fixed an issue where the Trends Migration page failed to load when a source referenced a sensor with an invalid or missing name, resulting in a 500 error.
  • Fixed an issue where Saved Question sources configured with a Manual group could not be saved.

The Trends module will be deprecated on March 12, 2025 and will be replaced by Reporting. Customers should consider migrating any existing boards that are still in use to Reporting.

Enhancements

  • A new migration wizard is now available to assist with migrating Trends boards to Reporting dashboards. Some items may need to be resolved before a board and its sources can be successfully migrated using the migration wizard. Navigate to Trends->Migrate to Reporting to see migration details for each board.

Known Issue

  • Panels that rely on sources defined with one or more empty parameters cannot be migrated using the migration wizard. The Patch board included in the initial gallery, includes five panels that are affected and cannot be migrated using the wizard:
    • Endpoints Missing Critical or Important Patches Released Over 30 Days Ago Patch
    • Online Endpoints - Patch Compliance
    • Historical - Patch Compliance
    • Online Endpoints - 30 Day SLA Compliance
    • Historical - 30 Day SLA Compliance

Affected panels can be manually re-created in Reporting.
