  • Upgrade various 3rd Party Libraries

Tanium Cloud Release Date Starting On: July 30th, 2025

Enhancements

Implemented improvements to support additional endpoints provided by the Tanium Connector for Microsoft Intune:

  • In the Explore Data page, replaced Quick Column Add with Data Source for selecting the provider types that will return results, i.e., Tanium Clients, Microsoft Intune, or both. By default, All Entities will be selected, which includes all currently configured entities as well as any new entities configured in the future. This selection can be saved in your browser session.

  • Updated reports to include which data sources are included in each report. All existing reports, excluding ADI – Basic Inventory (see next bullet), will continue to include results from Tanium Clients only.

  • Added two new columns to the ADI – Basic Inventory managed report—Provider Type and Entity Type. This report will use the All Entities data source. However, if the Tanium connector for Microsoft Intune is not configured, All Entities will be limited to Tanium Clients only. Note: For existing Tanium Connect connections exporting the ADI - Basic Inventory report, the new columns can be excluded from the export if necessary by editing the connection and unchecking the columns in the output configuration section.

Tanium Cloud Release Date Starting On: July 8th, 2025

Resolved Issues

  • Fixed an issue where using ‘not within the last’ or ‘not within the next’ operators could bring back unexpected results when used with unflattened sensors that have multiple columns, and multiple lines of results per cell.
  • Fixed an issue where attempting to clone a dashboard that contains groups that are no longer enabled for historical collection would fail.
  • Fixed an issue where the groups in the default group dropdown for a panel where not applied in alphabetical order.

Tanium Cloud Release Date Starting On: June 23rd, 2025

Enhancements

  • Added the option of selecting filter groups for displaying current data at the dashboard and panel levels, alleviating the need to enable additional computer groups in Reporting for historical collection. In the Computer Group dropdown, computer groups that have been enabled in Reporting will be listed under HISTORICAL COLLECTION ENABLED and filter groups will be listed under CURRENT DATA ONLY. Note: For a filter group to be available, all sensors used to create the filter group must be enabled for harvesting.

  • Added the ability to choose if and where per-line filtering is applied. This is especially useful when filtering sources that return multiple lines of results within a single row. For instance, a result set that includes Computer Name (flattened) and Installed Applications, where each row includes one endpoint with many lines of applications. By default, per-line filtering is enabled at the top level resulting in all AND expressions being evaluated as a single condition for each line. To remove per-line filtering at the top level, first add a filter group using the "Add Group" button under Filters, then select “Enable Nested Filter Control”. Once enabled, per-line filtering can be applied at the nested expression level where desired.
  • Added the ability to disable a historical collection source.

  • Increased the width of the computer group and filter group fields for dashboards and reports by 60% to accommodate longer computer group names.

Resolved Issues

  • Fixed an issue where using a custom dashboard level timeframe, and selecting the same from and to day would not display data for days before the current day.
  • Fixed an issue where entering numbers in the computer group or filter group fields did not correctly exclude all groups without matching numbers in their names.
  • Fixed an issue where all managed reports and dashboards appeared to have a locked content set. For managed reports and dashboards, the content set lock indicator will no longer appear next to content set in the report or dashboard list page. Instead, it will appear when editing the expanded details section for reports and dashboards.
  • Fixed an issue where some module overview page charts would default to the current timeframe.
  • Fixed an issue where retrieving report details via APIs (Gateway) returned sources and labels in an inconsistent order.
