• End-User notifications may have significant delays or not appear at all on macOS 10.15 (Catalina). This will be addressed soon with an End-User Notifications update.
• Some Mac patches include a release date of “Not Available”, especially with macOS 11.x and 12.x (Big Sur and Monterey). Those patches will not be included in any Patch Lists or Block Lists that use Release Date as criteria. For example, a patch with Release Date of “Not Available” would NOT match the “Release Date greater than 10/01/2021” criteria. By the same token, it would not match the same sort of query for any operator on the Release Date field. A future Patch upgrade will add release dates for most Mac patches, thus allowing the Release Date comparison to work.

• CentOS 8 patches currently lack metadata like Advisory ID, CVE ID, and patch classification (e.g. security, package, recommended). This also prevents using the “Install All Security Patches” option with CentOS 8.
• Deployment preview grids will switch patch applicability counts back and forth from targeted computers to all computers if you wait on the preview page long enough. This does not affect the actual deployment. It simply shows both lists in the user interface.

Known Issues and Workarounds

• If you are using Windows XP or Windows XP x64, you might need to run a Windows agent upgrade for reliable scanning and patch deployment.
• Leading and trailing whitespace is stripped from patch list and blacklist rule expressions on save.
• Creating a patch list or blacklist with an empty rule expression will cause initialization to fail.
• When configuring Computer Groups for Visibility, a known issue can prevent all available computer groups from being listed. The workaround is to use grid filtering to search for computer groups.
• Maintenance windows configured to repeat monthly in the operator's browser time might display incorrect summary and upcoming maintenance windows.
• Patch tools required for Windows Tanium Scan will fail to install on Tanium Client version 6.0.x.
• Planned end-of-support for Windows versions in Tanium Patch: Future versions of Tanium Patch will not support Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, and Windows Server 2008 (non-R2).
