Release Date: June 3, 2025

As described in our May 2024 communication, we officially discontinued Tanium Map under our End of Life Policy as of May 30, 2025. As noted in that communication, Tanium recommends uninstalling the product from the module server. For any on-prem customers that continue to use Tanium Map, Tanium will not provide fixes, nor will security upgrades be addressed, potentially exposing an environment with Tanium Map installed.

  • Distribute-over-time values are now maintained on actions that already exist during re-initialization.

Known Issues

  • Map can't properly discover IIS dependencies, or any other application that uses non-TCP IPC to communicate between processes on the same machine. It will see the connections into the first process (e.g. Service in the case of IIS), but can't see the outgoing connections.
  • In some situations the hexagon and Application Discovery grid will fail to show results on first load of the overview page. A refresh will remedy the situation. We are actively diagnosing the cause of this issue.
