Important Notes

This release is the initial public release of Tanium Guide, which delivers a simplified interaction with in-Console notifications that include new environment-based, proactive notifications.

New Features

  • Introduced a new Guidance category of notifications to provide actions that users can deploy directly from the notifications to align with best practices, optimize their environment, and resolve unhealthy states. The notifications are created automatically when the environment meets specific conditions.

  • Introduced a new Administration page for Tanium administrators to control which guidance and observation notifications appear to users.
  • Introduced a new Guide icon to replace the Feed icon in the Console header, Console Main menu, and Guide notifications slide-out panel.
  • Updated “Activity” references to “Guide" in Console.
  • Updated the display of notifications in the Guide notifications slide-out panel and overview page to improve the visibility of new notifications and offer advanced filtering.
  • Documentation available at Guide User Guide
