New Features

• The following new features are currently only available to Private Preview customers:
  • Added a new “Guidance” Category of notifications to provide actions that can be taken directly from the notification, to align with best practices, optimize the environment, and resolve unhealth states, and are created when the environment meets specific conditions.
  • Added a new “Observation” Category of notifications to provides proactive details of information users should focus on based on what is occurring in their environment with links to the associated information. This allows staying ahead of potential issues with alerts on trends and anomalies that may require investigation.
  • Added filters by Category to the sidebar navigation of Feed.
  • Added filters by Category, Topic, and Status to the Activity page.
  • Updated the display of notification in the Feed sidebar and Activity page.

  • Guardian accentuates new, high priority content to review and act on.
  • Guardian makes prioritization easy by enabling customers to distinguish "Emerging Issue" notifications from the less urgent but still valuable best practice and recommendation notifications accessed through the Feed bell icon
  • The Guardian lightning bolt icon will be exclusive to “Emerging Issue” topic notifications.
  • The bell icon will continue to include the other topics’ notifications.

• Fixed an issue where Feed would inadvertently overwrite Interact’s show Interact privilege. Feed messages can now continue to be seen and acknowledged with the Interact show permission remaining under the Interact permission set.

Tanium Cloud Release Date: July 28, 2022

New Features

This is the first public release of Tanium Feed. Tanium Feed adds a new Activity page and slide-out panel accessed from the Main menu. Tanium will use these features to alert users of new information about the modules they use, emerging cyber security issues and important announcements from Tanium. Tanium Feed will help users respond to events faster and stay abreast of changes and improvements in the Tanium products they use. Documentation can be found in the Tanium Feed User Guide.
