Tanium Cloud Release Date Starting on: June 22, 2026

Important Notes

  • This release is the initial public release of Tanium Action Oversight, which delivers a unified view of all Platform actions, Automate playbook runs, and ring-based Deploy deployments, in a single consolidated location, replacing the Ring Deployment Status page. Users can now audit all endpoint activity from a single location, reducing troubleshooting time and building confidence in automated actions.

New Features

  • Introduced Action Oversight, a consolidated list page that displays Platform actions, Automate playbook runs, and ring-based Deploy deployments so users can monitor current, historical, and upcoming endpoint actions without navigating across multiple pages.
    • Added filtering and sorting capabilities to allow users to narrow results by action type, status, and other attributes to reduce time spent searching for specific actions.
    • Added the User Actions and Maintenance Actions tabs to allow users to distinguish between user-created actions, which are those created by users to target endpoints, from routine Tanium maintenance actions, the system-generated tasks Tanium and its modules run automatically to support standard platform operations.

  • Introduced the Action Status page, which provides detailed status and result information for an individual action in a consistent format across all action types, Platform actions, Automate playbook runs, and ring-based Deploy deployments, to support investigation and auditing workflows.
    • Added endpoint-level success and failure data to allow users to identify exactly which endpoints were affected by an action and the outcome for each for applicable action types.
    • Added action detail information, including package, targeting, and distribution ring data, as applicable, to give users a complete picture of how an action was configured and executed.
  • Introduced the Schedule Details page, which surfaces all instances of a recurring scheduled action — past, active, and upcoming — to support schedule review and tuning workflows.
    • Added a run history summary for each scheduled action instance to allow users to details across all occurrences.
