Tanium Trends Version 3.2.4.0001

Release Date: June 9, 2020

Enhancements

  • Reorganized the default Trends Home page to prioritize favorite boards, panels, and metrics.
  • Moved the Best Practices section from the Trends Home page to the Help panel.
  • Donut charts support longer chart item labels before truncation occurs.
  • Improved loading performance for boards based on saved question sources.

Resolved Issues

  • Fixed issue where chart tooltips could fail to display if the item contained quotes.
  • Significantly reduced memory required to process large result sets to prevent out of memory errors.
  • Fixed issue where “No Content Set specified” might display when importing boards if the board was originally imported in an earlier Trends version.
  • Fixed filter on the initial gallery import.

Tanium Trends Version 3.2.1.0000

Release Date: May 19, 2020

Enhancements

  • Trends Operator role was added. This role has the same permissions as Trends Administrator, but without the permission to configure the service account.
  • Added support to merge boards on import. When you import a board, Trends checks for an existing board of the same name. If a board with the same name exists, and you have permission to update that board, Trends merges new panels and sources from the imported board into the existing board.
  • When importing the initial gallery, boards are now sorted in alphabetical order.
  • Added several enhancements for users who import Trends with the default settings:
    • Trends automatically imports the initial gallery. This includes boards and sources provided by any other Tanium module that has a service account configured.
    • If you later import another Tanium module, Trends automatically imports the boards and sources for that module after you configure the service account for the module.
    • Trends hides the configuration section on the Trends Home page.
    • Trends automatically adds the following boards and panels to the favorites list for all users:
      • Inventory
        • Machine Type
        • Manufacturer
        • Virtual Machines
      • Operations Monitoring
        • Machines Requiring Reboot
      • Policy Monitoring
      • Tanium Client Counts
      • Tanium Health
        • Tanium Endpoints Online
      • Trends - Module Health

Resolved Issues

  • Fixed issue where some initial gallery boards could not be imported due to a validation error.

Notes

  • Trends 3.0 and later requires Tanium Platform 7.3.314.4099 or later. For environments with Tanium Platform 7.3.314.4098 or earlier, Trends 2.4 is available.
  • The predefined Trends Source Author role is deprecated in Trends 3.0. User accounts created in previous releases of Trends with the Trends Source Author role will retain the same permissions in Trends 3.x.
