Additional Information
In order to take advantage of the space savings that were introduced in this version, you are required to reset your endpoint database by issuing the Remove Tanium Trace Tools action to uninstall and then running the Distribute Tanium Trace Tools action to re-install. If you do not reset your database, Trace will work fine but the space per recorded event will not be reduced.
Known Issues and Workarounds
- In some cases, where the process ID is quickly re-used by the operating system, the command-line and hash properties are being assigned to the wrong process. The command-line/hash mismatching is more likely to occur in cases where there is sustained repeated launching of short-lived processes. We are currently investigating ways to address this issue in a future release.
