This platform release includes the release of both a Windows and Linux Tanium Server.

Improvements

  • Changes the Tanium Server data retention parameter "default_max_result_age_minutes" to a value of 10 to improve question results performance.
  • Changes the behavior of the pki_root_key_rotation_interval_days setting where assigning a value of zero is no longer allowed.
  • Ensures that SAML requests from the Tanium Server all follow the same URL character-encoding scheme.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixes an issue in the Tanium Server which would prevent a service account from executing a plugin in the default content set, resulting in an RBACInsufficientPrivilege error instead.
  • Fixes the Tanium Server initial content manifest to the SAR 2025H2 version.
  • Fixes an issue in the Tanium Server and its Linux installer where the UseTBBAllocator setting would always be set to a value of zero and would not honor a local configuration.
  • Fixes a condition where some Tanium Server threads were not cleaning their TBB memory allocations properly.
  • Fixes a code mixup by which the Tanium Server would run its packages cleaner twice.
  • Fixes an omission in the Tanium Server question parser where the reserved word "entities" was not quoted when it does not refer to a Tanium Entity.
  • Fixes an issue in PKI management that kept in-memory references to old and revoked certificates.
  • Fixes an omission in the Tanium Server packages API where the recently added description field was not serialized on output.
  • Fixes a failing ringSetDefinition assertion in the Tanium Server question API which would impair question evaluation of some targets after ring-set definitions were deleted.
