This platform release includes the release of both a Windows and Linux Tanium Server.

Tanium Server for Windows and Linux v7.7.2.7418

  • Tanium Cloud availability date: February 20, 2025.

Special Notes

  • The Tanium Server now uses Console (Version 3.9.12.0000).
  • Tanium discourages new installations of this software version on Windows 2012 and 2012-R2 given its End-Of-Life on 2023-10-10.

Improvements

  • Updates the verbiage of the EULA to a new version in 2025.
  • Tanium Platform components now ship with curl v8.12.0.
  • Tanium Platform components now ship with Python v3.12.9.
  • Tanium Platform components now ship with OpenSSL v3.2.4 on latest versions and v1.0.2zl on v7.4 and v7.5 releases.
  • Improves the behavior of the Tanium Server ring API to disallow names that differ from each other just by leading or trailing whitespace, which makes the user interface display confusing.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixes an omission in the Tanium Server evaluation of exit_code_criteria in XML package imports.
  • Fixes some minor thread-safety details in the Tanium Server code.
