Thank you for choosing Tanium. The following Release Notes document changes between releases of the Tanium Server.
This platform release includes the release of both a Windows and Linux Tanium Server.

Tanium Server for Windows and Linux v7.6.4.2124

  • Tanium Cloud availability date: N/A.
  • On-premises availability date: March 14, 2025.

Special Notes

  • The Tanium Server now uses Console (Version 3.9.18.0000).
  • Tanium discourages new installations of this software version on Windows 2012 and 2012-R2 given its End-Of-Life on 2023-10-10.

Security Updates

  • This release includes security updates. Details of the issues, including affected versions and mitigation information, can be obtained within Tanium's Support Portal or by contacting your TAM.

Improvements

  • Tanium Platform components now ship with curl v8.12.0.
  • Tanium Platform components now ship with OpenSSL v3.2.4.
  • Tanium Platform components now ship with v5.6.4 versions of the xz library.
  • Adds the APIDisableTLS13 configuration setting for the Tanium Server. This mode of operation is not desirable but will allow CAC authentication when user's certificates are not compliant with TLS v1.3 requirements.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixes a case-folding problem in the Tanium Server LDAP synchronization which impairs the pagination of large number of users.
  • Fixes an issue in the Tanium Server handling of API requests which could result in a failure condition associated with the log message "thread pool too busy".
