This platform release includes the release of both a Windows and Linux Tanium Server.

Tanium Server for Windows and Linux v7.5.6.1077

General Availability Release Date: March 9, 2023.

Special Notes

  • This version of Tanium Server shipped with: Console (Version 3.4.54.0000).
  • Tanium discourages new installations of this software version on Windows 2012 and 2012-R2 due to its scheduled End-Of-Life on 2023-10-10.

Security Updates

New Features

  • Tanium Platform components now ship with Curl v7.88.1 libraries.

Improvements

  • Tanium Platform RPM installation packages are now built using SHA-256 digests to allow them to be installed on additional FIPS enabled platforms.

Bug Fixes

  • Improves the performance in the manipulation of package-related tables in the Tanium Server's database, which would lead to SQL deadlocks and HTTP-500 errors on API requests.
  • Fixes a problem in the LDAP synchronization of users and groups in the Tanium Server which would cause a unique constraint violation in the ldapSynchronizeUsersAndGroupsThread and fail to synchronize groups into the system.
