Thank you for choosing Tanium.  The following Release Notes document changes between releases of the Tanium Server.
This platform release includes the release of a Windows and Linux Tanium Server.

  • Due to security issues against this release of Tanium Server, Tanium strongly recommends upgrading to at least v7.3.314.4324 if you are using this version.

  • Resolved issue where Questions with parameterized sensors would sometimes display as "[sensor name currently unavailable]"
  • Improved error messages when Tanium Module Server can not download module installer
  • Resolved issue with filtering on System Status administration page
  • Resolved issue where attempted access Saved Question outside of a user's permissions was not logged to the RBAC log file
  • Resolved issue where TDownloader would fail to start if unable to decrypt an added authority certificate
  • Resolved issue where the Tanium Server did not properly fail over to the backup Tanium Module Server, when multiple servers were defined
  • Resolved issue where locally uploaded files were only cleaned on service start. They are now cleaned up after 1 hour

Known Issues and Workarounds

  • Database creation and upgrade are performed using the credentials of the user running the Tanium Server installation. Contact your TAM for additional details.
