Thank you for choosing Tanium. The following Release Notes document changes between releases of the Tanium Client.
This platform release includes new Tanium Client installable binaries for several operating systems, including Solaris and AIX.

Tanium Client v7.2.314.3518

General Availability Release Date: February 5, 2019.

New Features

  • Both AIX and Solaris are now supported as v7.2 Tanium Clients.

Improvements

  • The Tanium platform components have been upgraded to use SQLite v3.26.0 .
  • The Tanium Platform components have been upgraded to use OpenSSL v1.0.2p.

Security Updates

  • None.

Bug Fixes

  • The Tanium Client installer will no longer create the registry key EventMessageFile which was populated incorrectly in previous versions and caused problems with Windows' Event Viewer.
  • Improved the robustness of the Tanium Client where locked or corrupt files in its /Downloads  or /Actions directories would cause crashes and cripple the client completely.
  • Fixed a condition where the Tanium Client on RHEL v7 would exit and not restart automatically on a locked client.db configuration database.
