Tanium Provision 1.9.311

Resolved Issues

  • Fixed an issue with Offline Domain Join Provision endpoints that do not host bundle files

Known Issues

  • Due to Provision Endpoint service changes, USB boot media will need to be recreated AFTER the toolset is updated on the Provision Endpoint.
  • Tanium is aware of a Linux boot issue affecting Microsoft Surface devices with updated UEFI firmware (released in June 2023). This issue specifically impacts bare metal provisioning on Microsoft Surface devices. Unfortunately, no known workaround is currently available. The Tanium Engineering team is closely monitoring the situation and will provide an update as soon as one becomes available. This issue does not affect device refresh operations on Microsoft Surface devices.
  • Tanium boot image may display a message that the base Fedora OS “is past its end-of-support date”- This issue will resolve with the deployment of Endpoint Configuration Toolset 2.3.42+

  • Fixed an issue that caused the Provision process to crash during imaging when expected DMI attributes are missing.
