Improvements

  • Added Labs Extended content into the product to remove the needs for a separate import
    • This content provides 14 metric sensors for use in Trends and Interact
    • Normalization to standard metrics option for all sensors
    • Consistent usage and capabilities updated on all sensors
    • Multiple bug fixes found with the lab sensors
  • Updated profile defaults for the Available Memory and Disk Capacity rules. Only the amount option for each rule is enabled by default (the percentage option must be enabled manually).
  • New Performance Trends board, which utilizes the new extended content. After you upgrade Performance, you must complete the following steps to see the updated board:
    • If the previous version of the Performance Trends board is installed, delete the existing Performance board.
      • Note: Any customizations made to this board will not be saved, you can import over the top without deleting and then manually clean up duplicate items
    • After you delete the existing board, import the new Performance board from the Initial Gallery. For more information, see Trends User Guide: Import the gallery.
      • Note: You might see up to 11 source errors. This is expected, and you can disregard the errors. Click Import to complete the import of the board.
  • Improved performance of charting components and enhanced drill-down options for the overview charts and events charts.

Issues Addressed

  • Fixed issues with Performance crashing on the endpoint during shutdown
  • Resolved issues with Performance Overview page charts showing no data
  • Updated coverage status sensor sort to work with older OS's (CentOS 5, for example)

Requirements

  • Tanium Platform 7.3.314.4250 or later
  • Tanium Client 7.2.314.3211 or later
  • Tanium Direct Connect 1.0 or later
  • File browsing on Windows supports files impacted by file system redirection starting with Direct Connect version 1.5.12.0000.
  • File downloads feature requires Tanium Direct Connect version 1.3.1.
    • With Tanium Direct Connect 1.2 or later, Performance can Direct Connect to endpoints that communicate through a Zone Server.
  • The releases of Tanium Trace 2.9.0.0035, Threat Response 1.2.0.0037, Map 1.1.1.0006, and Integrity Monitor 1.7.0.0035 and later all include a significant update to how the endpoint recorder technology is distributed and managed. Performance cannot be installed on an endpoint running an earlier version of these modules.
