Improvements

  • Improves filtering user experience in the Endpoints with Events results grid.
  • Adds password challenge prompt before terminating a process.
  • Updates Overview chart data to be based on endpoints in the Performance action group instead of all computers.
  • Replaces Performance - CX Status sensor with Client Extensions - Status sensor

Bug Fixes

  • Fixes issue with properly throttling threads on macOS.
  • Fixes Coverage Status sensor to report "Unsupported" for containers and older clients instead of “Initializing”.
  • Fixes TSDB repeating errors about NamedEvidence
  • Fixes an issue where you can not update any profiles if any one profile is awaiting approval.
  • Fixes issue with providing endpoint config privileges.
  • Fixes sensor issue with determining if TSDB is disabled on Linux.
  • Fixes TSDB Status sensor for Tanium Clients that do not support python 3.
  • Fixes an issue where [no results] is returned on Linux and Mac endpoints for the coverage status sensors.


Notes / Known Issues

With performance 1.6, we ended Tanium Administrative Console and Workbench support for Internet Explorer 11. For the best experience, use a recent version of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Mozilla Firefox to access the Tanium Console.

Requirements

  • Tanium Platform 7.3.314.4250 or later
  • Tanium Client 7.2.314.3211 or later
  • Tanium Direct Connect 1.0 or later
  • File browsing on Windows supports files impacted by file system redirection starting with Direct Connect version 1.5.12.0000.
  • File downloads feature requires Tanium Direct Connect version 1.3.1.
    • With Tanium Direct Connect 1.2 or later, Performance can Direct Connect to endpoints that communicate through a Zone Server.
  • The releases of Tanium Trace 2.9.0.0035, Threat Response 1.2.0.0037, Map 1.1.1.0006, and Integrity Monitor 1.7.0.0035 and later all include a significant update to how the endpoint recorder technology is distributed and managed. Performance cannot be installed on an endpoint running an earlier version of these modules.
