Feature Improvements
- This release adds support for the 7.4 version of the Tanium Client, including updates to the python runtime version and supporting libraries.
Resolved Issues
- Fixes stale tools targeting after changing Performance Action Group membership.
Known Issues and Workarounds
- After upgrading to this version, the Performance - Tools Version saved question must be manually deleted. This question will be recreated within a few minutes with the updated targeting.
- Removal of a profile from the UI will not remove the profile from the endpoint. The profile can be removed with the “Performance - Remove Profile” action. Editing a profile is preferred to removing a profile.

Feature Improvements
- Updates to the Direct Connect page:
- Shows feedback of current connection state.
- Allows a user to disconnect or reconnect the current connection.
- Grids and charts now include the ability to expand and collapse.
- Endpoint details are now hidden by default. These details can still be accessed by clicking the toggle button beside the scope selector.
- Now shows logical and total cores.
- Adds normalized and not normalized CPU column distinctions to Live Process Monitor. Normalized divides the CPU utilization by the CPU count.
- Groups charts by type in expand and collapsible sections.
- New scope selector bar.
- Uses ‘Past’ prefix to make the selections more clear.
- Allows custom scope selection of start and end time.
- Allows zooming in and out of time selection.

- Allows unicode in profiles.
- Ignores profile rules that are not supported by the endpoint operating system.
- Allows metric recording if a profile is present with no rules.
- Updates profile creation page to add all rules by default.
Resolved Issues
- Fixes an issue on the Direct Connect page where charts display even though the connection fails.
- Fixes an issue where tools would not deploy to endpoints if Recorder 1.x and Recorder 2.0 exist on the endpoint.
- Fixes an issue where Performance sensors were importing into the wrong content set.
- Fixes an issue on the Direct Connect page where queries to get application crashes would break if there were gaps in the endpoint data.
- Fixes an issue where disk read bytes were calculated incorrectly.
- Fixes an issue on the Events page where questions could get stuck at 100%.
- Fixes an issue on the Direct Connect page where the connection would time out when viewing large scopes, like Past 1 Week.
- Fixes an issue on the Direct Connect page where the page would report that the Direct Connect service was not installed when the issue was that the service account credentials were not set.
- Fixes an issue where y-axis labels could repeat.
- Fixes an issue on the Events page where the filter is persisted across tabs.
- Fixes an issue with making a direct connection where stale sensor data could prevent the connection attempt.
- Fixes an issue with the profile form submission and adds a spinner is to give feedback on when the action is complete.
Security Update
This release includes security updates. Details of the issue, including affected versions, and mitigation information, can be obtained within Tanium's Support Portal, or by contacting your Technical Account Manager (TAM).

Requirements

- Tanium Client Version 7.2.314.3211 or later
- Tanium Direct Connect 1.0 or later
- With Tanium Direct Connect 1.2 or later, Performance can Direct Connect to endpoints that communicate through a Zone Server.
- The releases of Tanium Trace 2.9.0.0035, Threat Response 1.2.0.0037, Map 1.1.1.0006, and Integrity Monitor 1.7.0.0035 and later all include a significant update to how the endpoint recorder technology is distributed and managed. Performance cannot be installed on an endpoint running an earlier version of these modules.
