New Feature

Performance Score: Users can now assess the overall health of their environment through the performance score, which is based on a weighted combination of various performance metrics. Users can identify areas that require attention and take corrective action to improve employee experience and endpoint performance. Changes include:

  • Added a Performance Score page which includes a summary description for the performance score and performance score dashboards and report.
  • Added integration of Reporting components into Performance.
  • Added a Performance Score reporting panel which includes the performance score breakdown and description to the performance Overview page.
  • Added new reporting panels to the performance Overview and Performance Score pages: Performance Score by Event Type, Total Endpoint Count by Performance Score, and Average Endpoint Performance Score by Criticality.
  • Added new performance reports: Performance - Endpoint Performance Scores Endpoint Performance Scores with Endpoint Criticality, and Endpoint Performance Score Constituents with Endpoint Criticality.
  • Added Performance - Endpoint Score Details sensor.
  • Added the ability to configure and modify the performance score weights in Profiles.
  • Updated the profile deployment service to include the health score weights and lookback configuration.
  • Updated the Performance DB to store performance score and lookback configuration.
  • Performance score UI updates include:
    • Added a Performance Score column to the Online Endpoints grid.
    • Added a quick link for performance scores to the Overview page.
    • Added the performance score to the top of the Direct Connection page.
    • Added a Performance Score column to the Direct Connection to an Endpoint search bar.
    • Added the ability to select computer group and timeframe values in the Performance Score section on the Overview and Performance Score pages.

Improvements

  • Performance now allows disk latency to be set higher than 500 MS for Events.
  • Added NIC and network name to the System Disk Metric Analysis and System Network Metric Analysis sensor.
  • Added Performance Module version to info.json in the support bundle.
  • Added the ability to modify performance profiles created by other users:
    • Profiles no longer have the creator's management rights group associated for endpoint targeting.
    • Performance Profile write permission now allows all users to edit all profiles, this includes profiles created by other users.

Issues Resolved

  • Uninstalling Performance now unregisters the associated sensors that rely on the "Tanium Performance" action group.
  • Fixed an issue to ensure user-created dashboards assigned to the Performance content set are retained during service startup.
  • Fixed an issue where certain conditions might cause a gap in the Time Series Database.
