  • Improved safety of YAML loading (security).
  • Direct Connect client updated to fix downloading of large files.

  • Live Process Monitor is expanded by default in Direct Connect.

  • Network (Receive Throughput, Send Throughput), Disk (Read Latency, Write Latency), and CPU (top processes) and Memory (top processes) are selected by default in Direct Connect.
  • The threshold parameter was added to the Performance – Trends Top Process sensor.
  • Added the following Trends panels: Models with Critical Performance Events, Top Application Crashes, Top System Crashes, Top CPU Consumers, Top Memory Consumers, Top Handle Consumers.
  • Support added for AmazonLinux2.
  • Support added for ARM endpoints.

Issues addressed

  • Updates made to duration and value calculations to mitigate reporting of false events.
  • Saved question charts (Event rule type, application crashes, system crashes) on the overview page are used to mark questions complete at 90%, it now uses the global preference setting which defaults to 99%.
  • Any users with the Endpoint Configuration (ECF) write privilege are now also granted the ECF reject privilege.
  • Result type fixed for multiple sensors (application crashes, application details metric analysis, application metric analysis, system crashes, top process metric analysis).
  • Fixes several endpoint tools crashes.
  • Fixes minor endpoint tool issues around Named Evidence, unsupported Not a Number (NaN), and stopping and starting.
  • Fixes size mismatch between what is shown in file browser and actual file size on disk.
  • Raises question batch size from 1000 to 5000.
  • Saving a profile without making any changes is ignored by ECF.
  • Fixed issue where Performance tools were not being uninstalled through TCM/ECF after the solution was uninstalled
  • Fixed issue where the service account name was showing up as a GUID.
  • Fixed an issue where the wal directory would fill up with temp files that consumed too much disk space.
  • Fixed issue where Chrome browser tab would crash when inactive.

Notes

  • Some of the changes with Performance 1.11 require a new profile or a change to the existing profile. For new profiles, create a new one and set it at a higher priority than the other profiles. To edit an existing profile, make a simple change such as modifying the description and then save the profile.
  • After you upgrade Performance, you must complete the following steps to see the updated Performance Trends board:
    • If the previous version of the Performance Trends board is installed, delete the existing Performance board.
      • Note: Any customizations made to this board will not be saved. You can also import over the top without deleting and then manually clean up duplicate items
    • After you delete the existing board, import the new Performance board from the Initial Gallery. For more information, see Trends User Guide: Import the gallery.
      • Note: You might see source errors. This is expected, and you can disregard the errors. Click Import to complete the import of the board.
