Feature Improvements

  • The overall load of Patch - Patch List Applicability questions issued over time has been reduced.
  • The number of Patch - Patch List Applicability saved questions created by Tanium Patch is now configurable with the Patch List Applicability Bin Count setting.
  • Patch List Applicability data for Visibility Groups displayed in the Workbench is now tagged with the date time that the data was collected.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that caused Tanium Patch Enforcement to not be updated with recent results.

Known Issues and Workarounds

  • This release is only available on Tanium platform versions 7.0 and higher.
  • If the ServerName value in the Tanium Server registry key has been changed from the default of 0.0.0.0, Tanium Client might fail to download patches and experience higher than normal CPU usage.
  • If you are using an air-gapped environment with an offline CAB file, you must upload the wsusscn2.cab and MS-CVEs.dat files to the Patch - External File References package. Optionally, use the WSUS scanning method.
  • If you are using Windows XP or Windows XPx64, you might need to run a Windows Agent upgrade for reliable scanning and patch deployment.
