Tanium Patch 2.0.8
Release Date: September 5, 2017
Feature Improvements
- Added support for superseded patches.
- Changed default settings for Patch deployments to use the single deployment option.
- Added several supportability enhancements.
Known Issues and Workarounds
- Maintenance Windows which use Deployment Issuer's Browser Time may result in incorrect deployment times. Use "Endpoint Local Time" instead, consult your TAM for additional details
- Deployments with a large number of concurrent active deployments may experience reduced workbench performance, consult your TAM for additional details
- Upgrades to 2.0.8 may result in applicability counts going to zero for a short time until the new Patch library reaches the endpoint. This condition is purely cosmetic and will resolve itself within a few minutes
- Before you install Patch 2.0, remove Patch 1.x. The Patch 2.0 import automatically fails if Patch 1.x is installed. Contact your Technical Account Manager for assistance.
- If you are using an air-gapped environment with an offline CAB file, you must upload the wsusscn2.cab file and MS-CVEs.dat files to the Patch - External File References package. Optionally, use the WSUS scanning method.
- You might need to run a Windows Agent upgrade for reliable scanning and patch deployment on Windows XP and Windows XPx64.
- With Windows 10 Creators Update 1703 - Build 15063.413, the Patch process might not start as expected. Install a newer Windows 10 Creators build (after 15063.413) to avoid this problem.
- Action Approval process may hang with Tanium Version 6.5. Workaround is to reduce the package download/command timeout to 10 minutes.
