Tanium Patch 1.1.6.41

Release Date: 8 Sept 2016

Feature Improvements

• Patch lists can now be configured to include Date Range Rule Conditions
• Additional target Computers and Computer Groups can now be added to an active Patch Deployment
• Cab file statistics are now displayed in the System Status page

Bug Fixes

• We resolved an issue in which the start time of a Patch Deployment was never reached in certain time zones
• We resolved an issue in which Rule Conditions using the Bulletins field did not behave as expected
• We added various security and stability enhancements

Known Issues and Workarounds

• Deployments targeting more than 10 computer groups will occasionally fail. Workaround: When creating patch deployments, target 10 or fewer computer groups.

Windows Security Patch Management 2.2.2.0011

Improvements and Bug Fixes

• Resolved an issue in which Windows Security Patch Management packages could contain duplicate files.
• Resolved an issue in which more than one package update process could run simultaneously resulting in undue load on the Tanium Module Server.

Managed Applications 2.3.0.0058

Feature Improvements

• Added support for Acrobat Reader XI
• "Distribute Managed Applications Custom Dat Files" package has been added to assist in the distribution of custom Dat files.
• The Install and Update packages have been consolidated into a single Deploy action that processes both install and update actions.
• The Managed Applications Deploy, Scan, and Plugin actions now write log files to assist in troubleshooting.
• Managed Applications scans can now use a file path to identify installed files.
• Added support for separate install and update information in dat files
• Managed Applications can be restricted to only report on endpoints that match criteria including: OS-Name, OS-Version, OS-Architecture, Min-Version, and Max-Version.

Bug Fixes

• Resolved an issue in which the Adobe Flash Player Installer script would fail to recognize and process .msi installer files
• Resolved an issue in which some versions of Java were not showing as installed if no uninstall string was found in the registry
• Resolved an issue in which some outdated application versions would not be shown in the out of date dashboard

Known Issues and Workarounds

• In some cases, actions deploying application updates will fail due to the "Deploy Managed Applications" package missing the application update file. If you experience this issue in a 6.5 environment, delete the "Deploy Managed Applications" package and re-import the Managed Applications solution. In Tanium 7 environments, this issue is resolved by updating to 7.0.314.6319 or later.

Windows Security Patch Management 2.2.1.0002

Feature Improvements

• Resolved an issue in 2.2.0 which can cause the Cab File Manager plugin to add duplicate offline cab files in the cab-file-manager package. In rare cases the size of this package can result is degraded performance of the Tanium server.
