Thank you for choosing Tanium. This article documents the initial release of Tanium Interact 2.0.

  • New customizable Home Page
    • New "Interact Summary" section that provides various helpful links
    • New "How to Use Interact" section that explains popular features and useful tips
    • New "Favorite Categories / Dashboards" / Saved Questions" sections that display your favorited content
    • Ability to rearrange and hide sections
  • New Interact Content page
    • New multi-filter UI to quickly find your content
    • Ability to favorite all three types of content - Categories, Dashboards, and Saved Question
    • Ability to filter by favorites
    • Ability to search by text
    • Ability to create / edit / delete category and dashboard directly on the page via an action modal
    • Ability to assign dashboards to categories or questions to dashboards directly on the page using new UI
  • New collapsible question bar
    • New collapsible question bar near the top navigation bar. Exists on all Interact pages except the home page
  • New ways to view dashboards
    • Ability to quickly switch between different dashboard views on a dashboard page, using the drop down near the breadcrumb
    • Ability to switch between grid view and list view
    • Ability to filter by computer on all saved questions inside a dashboard

Improvements

  • The auto-generated "Other Dashboards" is now read-only
  • Custom category icon size is limited to 2mb to prevent accidentally uploading a large file
