Security Update

This release includes security updates. For details, including affected versions and mitigation information, see the Tanium Support Portal, or contact your TAM.

Support

This release of Enforce brings full feature parity with Protect and marks the end of life of all Protect versions, which will be July 1, 2021.

New Features

This release includes:

  • Several new policy types:
    • BitLocker
    • FileVault
    • Linux remediations
    • Mac remediations
  • BitLocker support for USB devices
  • Ability to import & export policies (within Enforce only)
  • An enforcement targeting preview
  • Settings page moved to top rail
  • Introduced "Health" pages for policies, anti-malware, and endpoint encryption
  • Introduced new and improved policy creation workflow
  • Provide more detailed support bundles
  • Ability to bypass action locks on anti-malware policies
  • Alert users when Core Content solution is not yet imported
  • Added API documentation
  • Added anti-malware version column to anti-malware health page
  • Added support for Tanium Module Server (auto-provisioned) and MSSQL hosted endpoint encryption databases

Bug Fixes

  • Enforcement status icons in table view now update automatically
  • Dates now render correctly in FireFox
  • Importing AppLocker rules from XML now works without errors
  • Configuration section is now hidden when complete
  • Corrected targeting for SCEP installs
  • Fixed an issue that would cause Bitlocker and Filevault key backups to fail if both Protect and Enforce solutions were installed

Known Issues

  • In certain situations, changing the Endpoint Encryption database from self-hosted to Tanium Module Server hosted, can fail.
