Improvements

  • Added ability to distribute Level 2 scanning over 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Moved all endpoint discover work to client extensions, improving overall performance.
  • Added system user service.
  • Update of the Extra CX endpoint tool alleviating issues with AIX and Solaris resulting in tool mismatch.
  • Added the ability to throttle ping settings to 100ms, 200ms, or 500ms, while also making it so ping settings by default should not trip default dynamic arp inspection.

Issues Addressed

  • AWS Central scan not being displayed has been fixed.
  • Added Satellite ID to the filter items view to allow searching in the grid.
  • Fixed an issue where interfaces with a large number of IP’s would cause reports to not load.
  • Fixed endpoint in range sensor to use the correct parameters.
  • Fixed an issue where profiles would fail to deploy and show status of “Needs Deployment”

Important

  • For best results in on-premises environments:
  1. Upgrade to Discover 4.7.159 if your environment is below that version.
  2. Verify that your environment properly updated. Log in to the Tanium Console as a Platform Administrator, then navigate to the Discover Overview page. If the upgrade to Discover 4.7.159 had any problem, a banner appears. If the upgrade completed without issue, no banner appears.
