Improvements
- This release includes a refreshed user experience, bringing more reporting, consistency, and configurability to the forefront.
- A new endpoint configuration framework, replacing the actions and packages formerly used to configure endpoint tooling.
- This release includes improved Trends charts.
- Tanium Clients now use Python 3.8, if possible, for scan execution.
- This release includes improved merging of interfaces found in both centralized and distributed scans.
Important Notes
- Note with this release we are ending Tanium Console and workbench support for Internet Explorer 11. For the best experience please use a recent version of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari to access the Tanium Console.
- Tanium Core Platform 7.4 or later is required.
Known Issues
- A Discover service account with unrestricted management rights causes imports to fail. To workaround this, set a specific group, such as All Computers.
Upgrade Notes
- Installation or upgrade of Tanium Interact, Tanium Trends, and Tanium Client Management must be completed prior to installing Tanium Discover 4.0 or any other module supporting the Endpoint Configuration management framework.
