Tanium Discover 3.1.3.0011

Support Limits
- Endpoints running Windows 2008 must be running at least Windows 2008 R2 with SP1 as required by Tanium Python 1.3.
- Endpoints running Mac OS X must be running at least 10.11 as required by Tanium Python 1.3.
Enhancements
- Tanium Discover integrates with Tanium Trends to show Discover charts through the Trends initial gallery (Requires Tanium Trends 2.4 or later).
- If you imported the Discover boards in a previous release, and reimport the initial gallery after installing Discover 3.1.3, you might see duplicate boards for Discover. You can manually delete the following boards after you reimport the initial gallery:
- Discover Module Health (replaced with Discover - Module Health)
- Discover Interfaces Status (replaced with Discover - Interfaces)
- If you imported the Discover boards in a previous release, and reimport the initial gallery after installing Discover 3.1.3, you might see duplicate boards for Discover. You can manually delete the following boards after you reimport the initial gallery:
- An example gallery for Discover Labels is now available.
Issues Addressed
- Nmap successfully runs on RedHat 6 and CentOS 6 endpoints (was failing since 3.1.0).
- The upgrade correctly performs database backup (was not performing a backup since 3.1.0).
Tanium Discover 3.1.2.0007

Issues Addressed
- Specify a range of target ports in an Nmap scan, in addition to the top 1000.

Tanium Discover 3.1.1.0013

Enhancements
- This release adds support for the 7.4 version of the Tanium Client, including updates to the python runtime version and supporting libraries.
- The summary page and chart in the workbench loads faster for large scale environments.
Issues Addressed
- Report closed ports when specific Nmap ports are scanned
- Allow upgrading Npcap when 0.9984 is currently installed
- Do not import results from centralized AWS profiles that were deleted
- Include centralized profile definitions in support bundle

Tanium Discover 3.1.0.0185

New Features
- Configure centralized scanning to discover interfaces without a Tanium Client.
- Discover instances hosted in EC2, using the AWS API.
- Create a centralized profile with EC2 environment details.
- View cloud-specific fields in the interface details (such as Launch Time and Cloud Tags).
Changes to included components
- Upgrade Npcap from version 0.9982 to version 0.9984.
- Upgrade Nmap from version 7.70 to version 7.80
- Upgrade Organizationally Unique Identifier (OUI) list to version 10.0.38 to improve device manufacturer identification from MAC address.
Improvements
- Capture the profile name for each discovered interface.
- Write all output files to the Tools/Discover/output directory on the endpoint to allow files to persist across upgrades.
- Tanium Comply vulnerability scan results remain in the same location for compatibility.
Other Issues Addressed
- Support Tanium Trends integration with Discover Service Account role (no longer requires Administrator for the service account).
- Use consistent header names for exporting from grid or sending events to Connect.
- Prevent sensor error output from showing up in Discover report tables (such as: "results currently unavailable" as a hostname)
- Exit scans early if the endpoint has no targets other than itself.
- Preserve the Host Name Resolution option when migrating an ARP or Connected method to a Discover 3.1 profile.
