Release Notes Discover (Version 2.9)
Tanium Discover 2.9.0.0098
Release Date: September 18, 2018
Upgrading to this version from prior to 2.8 involves a migration to a new database schema. We suggest you manually backup your database before upgrading. The migration may take some time and will largely depend on how large your Discover database is.
While it is migrating, the Discover workbench and service will not be usable. We display a banner at the top of the Discover workbench to identify which part of the migration Discover is in. Once it is finished, we will display a link for you to enter the Service Account credentials.
New Features
- Integration with forthcoming release of Comply. Consult with your TAM to understand how to enable.
Other Enhancements
- Service account credentials are no longer required to be re-entered after an upgrade
- Improved workbench responsiveness during import
- Improved user feedback when publishing (creating, updating, deleting) discovery method changes
Resolved Issues
- Interface grid no longer clears filter upon refresh
- Method publishing could timeout while import is running
- Labeling a large number of interfaces could timeout in the workbench
- Homepage sometimes showed stale info after scan exclusion was modified
- Changing label field operator did not validate input for new operator
