Enhancements

  • A new multi editing tool was added to the Roles page to allow users to quickly add or remove permissions and content sets from several custom roles at once. This feature simplifies the role editing process, particularly in cases where the same permission may need to be added or removed for each selected role.
    • When bulk adding permissions, selected permissions will be applied to each of the selected Roles, and content sets can also be applied per permission and Role.
    • When bulk removing permissions, deselected permission will be removed/unassigned from each of the selected Roles if applicable.

  • This release of Console adds the ability to export the Tanium RBAC configuration as a CSV file for auditing or documentation purposes, including details such as which Roles have been assigned to all the Users, User Groups, and Personas. This export is available on the Users, User Groups, and Personas pages by selecting either all, or particular data rows to export and checking the option to export “With RBAC details."

  • The Sensors list page now displays an optional Script column that allows users to filter and search by different scripts that are used in each Sensor.
  • An error notification was added to indicate when imports of sensors, saved questions, and packages did not complete successfully.
  • A new permission to rotate API tokens was added under the Administration section in order to support the ability for users to request new tokens and revoke existing ones before they expire, rather than re-creating tokens with the same permissions.
  • Added option to enable drill-down auto fill per parameter when creating or editing a sensor in order to enable auto-populating sensors in drill-down questions with the values of matching parameters from the initial Question Results grid.
  • When creating a new sensor, sensor scripts for each platform (Windows, Linux, Mac, AIX, and Solaris) will now be enabled and pre-populated with a default, reducing the “No Results” returned by sensors.
  • Added the ability for users to enter hostname in IP address and port format on the SAML configuration page.

Resolved Issues

  • Fixed an issue where helper text for LDAP Configuration user name property field caused confusion and prevented users from logging on to their workstations using their sAMAccountName.
  • Fixed an issue where an error was returned on the Plugins page when the last run time was empty.
  • Fixed an issue where a license formatting error was shown upon logging into the Console after a fresh TanOS install, even though the license file had not yet been uploaded.
  • Fixed an issue where users were not prevented or warned against saving a hostname greater than 255 characters in the Proxy Settings bypass and trusted fields.
  • Fixed an issue where certain Production licenses were showing Location by Subnet labs content in Airgap environments.
  • Fixed an issue where site throttles on the Bandwidth Throttles page were displayed as a rounded whole number rather than a fractional value which was inaccurate and potentially misleading.
  • Fixed an issue where searching certain characters in the Action Group page filter search would cause the entire page to crash.
  • Fixed an issue where users were sometimes prevented from reissuing or editing actions, depending on the package selected, as package parameters could not be updated.
  • Fixed an issue where selected rows (clients) on the Client Status page were not cleared when leaving and navigating back to the Client Status page.
  • Fixed an issue where the user display name was not shown when selecting users to add to user groups.
  • Fixed an issue where editing a package and uploading a file would give a Verification Query Timeout validation error message that was actually unnecessary and prevented saving of the package.
  • Fixed an issue where the Clone and Edit buttons on the Packages page were not displayed properly in certain cloud environments.
  • Fixed an issue where validation errors regarding parameter references were showing even for non-enabled Platforms when creating or editing a Sensor.
  • Fixed an issue where Package Name was shown instead of Display Name when deploying actions.
  • Fixed an issue where existing package parameters were cleared when updating a scheduled action’s source package, which required the user to re-enter values that had not actually changed.
  • Fixed an issue where the Approver column was not shown in the Action History grid when require action approval was turned on.
  • Fixed an issue where adding local Package files one by one prevented selection and editing of those files.
  • Fixed an issue where original and existing Start At and End At time was not preserved when reissuing actions, which forced the user to re-enter their desired start and end times.
  • Fixed an issue where editing a user with the same name as another user in a different Active Directory domain would give an error and prevent save.
  • Fixed an issue where users were not prompted to upload missing associated files when importing an XML Tanium package, which caused those newly imported packages to not work properly.
  • Miscellaneous Bug Fixes
