  • Performance 1.10.57
  • Platform 7.5.2.3505
  • Reputation 6.1.32
  • Reveal 1.4.0
  • Threat Response 3.4.357

These solutions should be upgraded to the required minimum version or removed prior to upgrade to Console 3.1. If the required minimum version is not present after the platform upgrade an error banner will be displayed for all users indicating which unsupported solutions are present. Users with access to Tanium Solutions will be directed to the Solutions page to either Upgrade or Remove the impacted solutions.

The Protect and Network Quarantine Solutions (NQS) are not supported by Console 3.1. These solutions no longer appear in the manifest or in the Tanium Solutions page. If either Protect or NQS are present after upgrade to Console 3.1 they can be removed via an uninstall link in the error banner on the Tanium Solutions page.

Enhancements

  • The Subnets page now allows for client Intentional Subnets configuration. Intentional Subnets allows for physical sites to be defined with subnets where clients should attempt to peer locally even though they appear to be coming from different networks to the Tanium Server.
  • Client Authentication and Trusted Certificates for Downloads can now be configured in the Console under Downloads Authentication. Client Authentication allows the server to download resources from a remote site that requires certificate or login authentication. Trusted Certificates can be used to trust all certificates issued by a Certificate Authority or to trust a single untrusted Certificate when the server connects to download a remote resource.
  • The Settings page has been redesigned to highlight commonly used settings and allow them to be configured with input validation.
  • Added the ability to apply Per Site Connection Throttles to the Bandwidth Throttles Configuration. This allows a connection limit on per site throttles so that large downloads can be successfully complete when bandwidth is limited.
  • Added the ability to set max strings and max string age for reserved sensors such as IP Address.

Resolved Issues

  • Fixed an issue where changes to the verification query when editing a package were not saved.
  • Fixed an issue where the sensor results preview was not shown when editing a sensor.
  • Fixed an issue where after running a package multiple times the export of client status may include the client statues from a previous run.
  • Fixed an issue where the list of computer names or IP addresses for a Manual Group were not displayed.
  • Fixed an issue where environments with a large number of computer groups could get an error with Status Code 431 when trying to deploy an action.
  • Fixed an issue where editing a subnet did not correctly save the associated comment.
  • Fixed an issue where the Key and Trust Management activity log could fail to load.
  • Fixed an issue where the username and password could not be set when using a NTLM proxy.
  • Fixed an issue with the Plugins Schedules table where status would be green even if the plugin was disabled.
  • Fixed an issue where the up and down keys could not be used to scroll the current page in the Tanium Console.
  • Fixed an issue where the Packages filter by text did not search the display name which might be different from the name.
  • Fixed an issue where content sets could not be added to Endpoint Configuration permissions.
  • Fixed an issue where permissions provided by User Groups and User Group membership were not always displayed when viewing a user.
  • Fixed an issue where CSV Export of Question History exported all records instead of using the applied filters.
  • Fixed an issue where the deploy action page could become unresponsive if a user had write action but not read sensor on a content set.
  • Fixed an issue where internal module service accounts were displayed in the Users listing.
  • Fixed an issue where the sensor editor was not applying colored syntax highlighting to sensor scripts.
  • Miscellaneous Bug Fixes
