Thank you for choosing Tanium. This article documents the key features of Tanium Comply, known issues in v1.1.0, and provides links to additional information.

Feature Improvements

  • Action groups are no longer required for targeting during setup or report deployment. Computer groups are now used for all targeting.
  • Targeting now includes a filter on selected operating system to ensure report and package delivery to the correct endpoints.
  • Apple Mac OS X platform support has been added.
  • Custom profile support has been added. Custom profiles can now be created that contain only rules selected by the user. Custom profiles can also be created in Comply by uploading a SCAP 1.2 tailoring file.
  • New “Comply - Is Java Runnable” sensor has been added to ensure that endpoints have a functioning JRE available.
  • New “Comply - Report Runtimes” sensor has been added to track report run time metrics.
  • Added support for PowerShell custom checks on the Microsoft Windows platform.
  • Drop-down selectors now support typing within the selector to filter available options.
  • CIS-CAT 3.0.28 support has been added.
  • Added a question_threshold setting to configure the percentage of computers that must have answered a question before results are displayed.

Bug Fixes

  • Added better error messaging when invalid zip files are uploaded during setup.
  • Exposed error message when trying to run an endpoint on which CIS-CAT engine is missing.
  • Fixed an issue when running multiple benchmarks in a report.
  • Add error handling when publishing a report twice in rapid succession.
  • Fixed an issue where uninstall was not removing service folders.
  • Improve display of report details on smaller-sized browser windows.
  • Fixed incorrect engine status counts.
  • Fixed unsorted computer groups in selector by sorting them alphabetically.
  • Fixed issues with Comply licensing.
  • Fixed issues with report time displays.
  • Added better messaging when a report has not yet run.
  • Changed “Loading statistics” message to be more accurate when a report has not actually run yet.
  • Fixed an issue where duplicate benchmarks could be added to a report.
  • Fixed an issue where empty results would be displayed on Tanium server restart.
  • Improved display of report summary data.
  • Improved display of percentages by remove decimal portions of the numbers.
  • Added label to tag filtering on benchmark list screen.
  • Fixed an issue in aggregate sensor when aggregate file was missing or empty.

Known Issues

  • Tanium Comply currently does not support any benchmarks that require authentication.
  • Endpoint computers with less than 2GB of installed RAM may not have enough free memory to run the CIS-CAT engine when evaluating CIS checklists.
