Tanium Comply 1.0
Release Date: July 29, 2016
Key Features
- Tanium Comply provides proactive security configuration compliance leveraging CIS benchmarks
- Deploy and install compliance tools in minutes and measure results at enterprise scale in seconds; flexibly target compliance benchmarks at dynamic groups of endpoints
- Support regulatory compliance requirements -- such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOX -- using accurate real-time results rather than weeks old data
- Tailor, customize, and expand security benchmark coverage with easy to create Tanium actions to support the unique requirements of your organization
- Use Tanium Connect to feed Tanium Comply's security compliance data to GRC or SIEM tools
Known Issues
- When deploying Comply to endpoints you must first create Computer Groups and Action Groups that are segregated by operating system (e.g. Windows 2008 R2). This is needed to ensure that the correct benchmarks are targeted to the correct OS types.
- Tanium Comply currently does not support any benchmarks that require authentication.
- Endpoint computers with less than 2GB of installed RAM may not have enough free memory to run the CIS-CAT engine when evaluating CIS checklists.
Additional Information
- The time limit for the execution of a custom check is 1 minute. If that limit is reached the custom check will be terminated regardless of whether it has completed.
- The time limit for running an entire benchmark is 15 minutes. If that limit is reached the run for that benchmark will be terminated.
