Client Management 1.0.4

Improvements

  • Added download of client installers and client bundles.
  • Field labels and other UI text have been enhanced.
  • The deployment method (SMB or SSH) is now automatically determined, based on the selected platforms and credential types in the deployment.

Bug Fixes

  • File name for Tanium public key (tanium.pub) is no longer case sensitive.
  • Improved the error message for unsupported key formats in credentials.
  • Now display a mask in the password field for non-Windows credentials to show that a password was previously set.
  • Client versions that are incompatible with the currently installed version of Tanium Server are now prevented from being deployed.
  • Fixed an issue where the client port specified in client settings was not honored.
  • Fixed an issue where the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server OS was not detected properly.
  • Fixed an issue where the Save and Deploy button did not respond for SSH deployments.
  • Fixed an issue where specifying a client tag that included a colon (:) caused an error when saving client settings.
  • Fixed an issue where a user with the Client Management Administrator role applied is repeatedly prompted to enter service account credentials.

  • Fixed an issue where the workbench does not recognize the public key file when performing an upgrade.
  • Fixed an issue where a 500 error was returned when fields were not complete.
  • Fixed an issue where the "Not Started" count in the deployment status information is incorrect.
  • Corrected the requirements in the documentation to list port 22 under Windows instead of Non-Windows.
  • Improved the error message for the scenario where no credentials are available for the selected deployment method.
  • Added a warning in client settings when a server name includes a space.
  • Removed carriage return characters from stored tags so that tags now work correctly with Linux.
  • Fixed an issue where Client Management failed to install on a Tanium appliance behind a basic proxy server.
  • Fixed an issue where the console stops responding if you attempt to delete a credential that is in use.
  • Added an error when the user attempts to set the service account with a blank password.
  • Fixed an issue where the command to start the Tanium client service on Amazon linux had the incorrect case.
