Release Date: June 4, 2019

Tanium Asset 1.6.4.0007
Release Date: April 23, 2019
Bug Fixes
- Fixed issue with ServiceNow load which may cause batches to fail if duplicates were included in an Identify Reconcile API synch request. Now, duplicates will be removed from the batch prior to sending to ServiceNow; the records will not be sent as this would result in writing over existing records in ServiceNow.
- Fixed issue with "User Count" on home page, previously the value would indicate the number of computers with a user; now it correctly indicates the number of unique users regardless of the number of computers.
- Fixed issue with ServiceNow load where Asset would override the "Discovery Source" in ServiceNow; Asset sends the discovery source to be used for identification and reconciliation but does not update the value if the record is matched with an existing ServiceNow record.
- Fixed / improved cleanup and logging when the Asset Service is stopped and when an unhandled exception may result in the service stopping and being automatically started. Additionally, error details are now available in the logs when a unhandled exception causes the service to be restarted.
Tanium Asset 1.6.3.0001
Release Date: April 9, 2019
Security Update
This release includes security updates. Details of the issue, including affected versions, and mitigation information, can be obtained within Tanium's Support Portal, or by contacting your TAM.
Tanium Asset 1.6.2.0003
Release Date: April 3, 2019
Bug Fixes
- Fixed issue with ServiceNow export which caused the export process to hang in a running state. This only occurred when the ServiceNow configuration mapped computers without related items.
Tanium Asset 1.6.1.0003
Release Date: March 12, 2019
Bug Fixes
- Fixed issue with user drill down report that caused a blank report to be displayed.
- Added 30 second timeout for the Asset Installed Applications sensor for Linux endpoints. In rare cases, the Asset Installed Applications sensor might run longer than a minute and be halted by the Tanium Client. As a result, the rpm database on the endpoint could become corrupt. This change enforces a 30 second timeout with graceful halt.
- Fixed issue where the computer name could contain a trailing "(none)" in place of a domain. This trailing value can occur with Tanium Client 6.x on non-Windows endpoints. Trailing ".(none)" values are now removed.
Tanium Asset 1.6.0.0272
Release Date: February 19, 2019
Feature Improvements
- Removed AD Query content from Asset installations.
- Existing installations of AD Query will not be removed. Attributes from the AD Query sensors are still reported and updated.
- To install and update AD Query content, update the solution from the Tanium Solutions page.
- Asset will make use of the AD Query content if it is installed. If AD Query is not installed, Asset reports the Last Logged on User attribute for user information.
- Updated the Created At and Updated At computer attributes. These attributes are now treated like other attributes, and are available for custom reports, filtering, creating views, and available for use in Connect.
- Added Feature Flags setting in system settings. This setting can enable new features through input of a feature code, without enabling new features by default.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed issue that caused the Created At and Updated At columns to be unavailable in Tanium Connect when exporting a report and using the "Header" option.
- Fixed issue with Solaris Computer names containing trailing period. These trailing periods are removed in the load process.
- Fixed issue with in which columns that were selected in a report were ignored. Asset report exports now only include the selected columns.
- Fixed issue with exporting large Asset reports. Exports are now queued and performed as a background process, with console alerts on report status and download.
- Fixed issue with Asset sensor delimiters that could cause empty data to be returned when the data from the sensor included the pipe character.
- Fixed issue where AWS instances would not load into asset because of missing serial numbers. Asset will now create a UUID for machines without a serial number and use that as a substitute.
- Fixed issue that could cause loads to fail when handling malformed date/time values, and very large integer values.
- Fixed issue with the Asset Logical Disk sensor that resulted in the sensor scanning NFS drives.
- Fixed several issues related to loading data from Asset related to resource constraints and issues. Changes were made to reduce resource usage while loading and to perform delayed retries where warranted.
