Tanium Asset 1.2.4.0000

Release Date: April 17, 2018

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue with the Tanium Connect source for Asset which may result in rows reported from Asset being duplicated or dropped.

Known Issues and Workarounds

  • After Tanium Asset is installed, upgraded or restarted, the "Schedules" page will not show imports and exports for a few minutes.
  • After Tanium Asset is installed or upgraded, errors may show on the Asset home page. Workaround: restart the Asset service one or two times.
  • Tanium Source imports can fail when two attributes with the same column name are added as Asset attributes at the same time.
  • If hundreds of attributes are added to Asset, reports might slow down, and the import could fail.
  • Simultaneous Tanium Source imports might fail due to "duplicate key value" errors. Subsequent runs will work normally.
  • In some environments, duplicate assets are created during Tanium Source import. The cause has not yet been identified.
  • In some environments, Tanium Source imports fail with a SOAPSnapshotNotFound error. The cause has not yet been identified.
  • Multi-row sensors must be added to Asset with at least one column of data type "text" to ensure the data is imported correctly.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed startup issue that caused upgrade failures on large Asset databases.
  • Fixed problems with duplicate assets that were caused by Tanium environments with duplicate serial numbers or computer names.
  • Fixed the category in the report creation from the home page. These reports were placed in the "Software" category by default and could not be deleted.
  • Fixed import failures that occurred after several days or weeks of using Asset 1.2.0.
  • Fixed import failures that occurred when a numeric attribute gets a blank or "N/A" value from the corresponding sensor. In particular, imports fail when using the Display Adapter Count sensor on an environment with non-Windows endpoints.

  • Fixed issue that made it difficult to delete a user group. The delete button was sometimes hidden behind other controls.
  • Fixed several issues related to adding new attributes.
  • Fixed issue with Primary AD User content where special characters may exist in AD.
  • Fixed Physical Disks sensor to correctly display units for size.
  • Fixed the Network Adapters sensor for Solaris to include DHCP details where available.

Known Issues and Workarounds

  • ServiceNow destinations might conflict with custom business rules. Adjusting the configuration of business rules might be required.
