Known Issues and Workarounds
- Tanium sensor errors might show in Asset - Sensor error results such as "[results currently unavailable]" and "N/A on Linux" will appear in Tanium Asset if returned in the sensors results. Future versions of Asset will suppress these values from appearing.
- ServiceNow CMDB Destination may require adjustment of ServiceNow identification rules - By default, ServiceNow uses "Serial Numbers" to uniquely identify a computer. In many environments, computer Serial Numbers are not unique and will result in machines competing to populate ServiceNow. You might need to adjust the "Identification Rules" within ServiceNow. Only adjust these values in coordination with your company's ServiceNow SME. Also coordinate with your TAM and your Asset SME before sending Asset data to your "Production" ServiceNow instance.
- Summary Reports may experience UI slowness when scrolling - Summary reports include counts for the number of computers that are associated with a record, such as installed applications. These reports will experience slowness and appear to be hung when scrolling. You might want to avoid these types of reports in large environments.
- Uninstall / Re-install Requires Manual Step - After you uninstall Asset, subsequent installation attempts will fail. Contact your TAM to complete the required manual remediation step to prepare your module server for a new installation.
- Asset Primary User sensor is supported on Windows Vista and above. No primary user information is currently available for non-windows operating systems
- Known workbench display issues exist for Internet Explorer 11. Alternate browsers provide a better experience.
