Glossary

Tanium Account - An online portal that enables you to manage your relationship and entitlements with Tanium, using your own SSO provider for authentication.
Cloud Instance Management - The section of your Tanium Account that enables you to manage linked Tanium Cloud instances. This functionality was formerly provided through Cloud Management Portal (CMP).
Tanium Artifacts - The self-service document and software repository section of your Tanium Account.

• Added a new visual indicator when IDP configurations require editing, as well as a toggle to resolve the issue that IDP metadata is out of sync with the configured IDP.

Tanium Account

• Added a new workspace feature that enables customers to re-use the same email domain across multiple, unique Tanium Accounts and identity provider (IDP) configurations. Customers must contact Tanium to manually setup their email domain for IDP re-use, which will enable the workspace feature for their SSO logins.
• Added an Account Details section to Tanium Account where customers can view their workspace identifier and root admin users can change their workspace identifier.

Tanium Account

• Tanium Account is designed to enable Tanium prospects, customers, and partners self-service management of their relationship with Tanium, including downloading non-public documents and files through Tanium Artifacts, managing key contacts, and establishing trust between their Tanium instances and Tanium online services, all authenticated through their own SSO provider. More capabilities will be added over time.
• This initial release brings our Tanium Cloud customers into Tanium Account.
  • Tanium Cloud customers will see their linked instances, and be able to manage those instances within Tanium Account. This replaces the dedicated Tanium Cloud Management Portal URL.
  • On-premises customers will be able to create accounts at a later date.
• Tanium Account includes the following initial features:
  • Tanium Cloud Management Portal (for Tanium Cloud customers only)
  • Tanium Artifacts - self-service download of non-public Tanium documents and files (including installation files for semi-annual releases)
  • SSO integration for easy management of Tanium Account users
  • Account History showing all actions taken by Tanium and Tanium Account users
